Fair Trade Brazil Competition

Andrew is in Brazil as I write this, as a juror in the Fair Trade cupping competition. Here is a link to a great blog, explaining the happenings of the week.
We may end up with some of the coffees from the auction. Stay tuned to this blog for details of any winnings.

Jamaica, mon!

Just in time for your holiday needs, we've got a new shipment of Jamaican Blue Mountain from the Mavis Bank. You can buy the full 70k barrel, or get what you need in 10# increments.

CoffeeFest Seattle

We had a great time in Seattle for CoffeeFest last weekend. Andrew, Amanda, and myself represented at the show. Andrew taught a class on defects on Saturday and we had a great little party on Saturday evening.
Below is a picture of Amanda, myself, and Dr. Luke Harris (honorary staff) on the show floor.

Thanks to all who stopped by to say hello. Next show will be Chicago in February.

Free beer.

In true Cafe Imports style, we're having a party in Seattle during CoffeeFest-- Saturday the 13th.
Contact myself, or any other member of our staff, for more details.

See you in September.

East Coast stylin'

Hello, you asked for it, and we've done it. After many years of shipping great coffees in through New York to Saint Paul and then back to the East Coast, we've parked a boat load out there, why, because you've asked us too. A boat load, in this case, is 42 different coffees, and over 1900 bags. Give us a call to see what's out there, or check online!

Pre-Guild Gathering

Hi.
If you're coming to Minnesota for the Retreat in a few weeks, please make a plan to stop by our facility on Wednesday, Aug 13th for a cupping and some libations.
Or, if you're local to Minnie/St. Paul and not attending the Retreat, feel free to stop in as well.

We will cup at 2pm, and wine, etc. will follow. Email Emily with questions (emily@cafeimports.com).

Travel safely.

woot woot

Hola.
I have some news, some very good news for those of you who have been unable to secure FTO Guates this year. I have 45 bags of Maya Ixil that just freed up. Most of these are available in our spot position only, which means you gotta buy 'em right away (no squirreling them away for winter).
These will fly outta here, so give us a call today to get yours!

Beanology is the way!

You asked, and we're listening. You want more info on the coffees you purchase and we have developed a new feature on our website to give the people what they want!
Check out our new Beanologies here.
Please check back here often for more additions to the program.

The things we do for you...

For you, our customers, we do about anything. This includes talking to different freight company reps for long periods of time and, at times, eating the very strange food that they bring in for us.
Today, we received festive red, white, and blue cupcakes. Gee whiz! We decided to have a little fun with the Blue #1 and Red #40 in the frosting.
Hopefully that will wear off by the end of the long weekend...Happy 4th!
